Exercise For Life

One Little-Known Reason Why Most People Don’t Exercise

One giant thing we see holding people back from exercising is not that they don’t have time or they don’t have easily accessible workouts…

But rather that they haven’t given themselves permission to use their time, their energy, their resources, their attention for themselves.

Whether it is a story they learned in childhood or something they adopted as they grew older, so many people operate under the false belief that the best thing they can do for others and for the world around them is to constantly give, give, give, give, give without ever taking the time to pause and replenish.

Logically, each of us knows that this strategy is impossible to sustain for any significant length of time.

But emotionally, it can be VERY hard to say, “No, I’m not going to do this for you right now so I can use the time to do this for me instead.”

Even if we know that it will make us happier, healthier, more energized, and more excited about life…

Even if we know that we will be able to do all of the other things we love doing with more vigor and passion…

Even if we know that we will be able to give a much higher version of ourselves to everybody else…

It can still be extremely difficult to pause and give ourselves permission to build into us.

If you find yourself in this boat, here are a few things you can do:

1. Start Small – Don’t try to make your first commitment to yourself something that seems giant. Start with something that feels very feasible both time-wise and effort-wise.

One of the biggest reasons why the workouts in the Exercise For Life Membership are kept to under 25 minutes is this amount of time feels feasible for most people, even if they are constantly putting others first.

They don’t require you to go to the gym, and for many of the workouts you won’t even need to change your clothes. Just pull up the workout in whatever you are wearing and get to it.

2. Keep It Simple – Don’t worry about trying to figure out what your entire plan or program is going to be. Just focus on what you are going to do today.

In the Exercise For Life Membership, we take care of all the programming for you. We tell you exactly where to start and give you guidance on what workouts to do every step of the way. All you have to do is open up your phone, tablet, or computer and press play. We’ll take care of the rest.

3. Keep It  Convenient – Sure, going to the big fancy gym can seem cool, but do you really want to add another 15 minutes of drive time each way, plus have to find a parking spot, stuff your things in a locker, and then figure out what equipment is actually open for you to use?

With the Exercise For Life Membership, all of your workouts can be done from home using minimal equipment. And, if you don’t have any equipment, you can use things right from your house to build your strength and fitness without feeling achy, sore, or injured.

If you’d like to get started with the Exercise For Life Membership, you can get your first 30 days for free by clicking here.

Right now, before everything goes crazy with the summer season, we want to take a moment to remind you that you are worth building into, and we want to give you permission to give yourself permission to do just that.

Because even if we know we should do it for ourselves, sometimes we need to hear it from somebody else first 😊

In strength & health,

Julie & Charlie
