Hey welcome back everybody to this week’s edition of 2-Minute Tuesdays. Now this week, we are giving you 12 rapid-fire top-notch exercise tips to make sure you can keep exercising through the holidays and enter 2021 feeling healthy and strong. Ready? Let’s get to it.
- Make sure you are weight training
- Focus on squeezing your muscles
- Move with control
- Utilize your active range of motion and make sure you aren’t flinging your weights to move you passively into through your range of motion
- Make sure you are including strength training for your feet
- Include All The Time Exercise by walking throughout the day for a minimum of three bouts of ten minutes
- Include Special Event Exercise such as going to the gym
- Schedule your exercise to make sure your special event exercise gets done a minimum of twice per week but preferably every day
- Include recovery days as many of the benefits from exercise happen as your body is recovering
- Use contraction as your mobility work instead of trying to stretch, lengthen, relax your muscles
