Welcome back to this week’s edition of 2-Minute Tuesdays where we are talking about one exercise topic for two minutes and giving you three reasons why you should follow our advice. Now this week, we are talking to those of you who aren’t sure whether or not you need to try Muscle Activation Techniques® (MAT®). What are some ways for you to know if your body is in need of an MAT® tune up?
1) You Are Losing Range Of Motion
Tip Number One To Know If You Need MAT® – the first way to know if your body is in need of a tune up is if it is losing range of motion at certain joints. Now, this can be accompanied by some sensations of tightness and pain, or it might be completely asymptomatic. A lot of times when you are losing range of motion, it means your muscles need a little bit of a tune up.

2) You Are Excessively Achy Or Tight
Tip Number Two To Know If You Need MAT® – if your body is feeling excessively achy or tight, you are in need of an MAT® tune up. As your muscular system stops working as well and starts to decline, other muscles have to pick up the slack and start working more. These muscles, over time, can start to feel tighter and achier, so if you are feeling those sensations throughout your body, that is a clear indicator that you need to get tuned up.

3) If Activities Are Becoming More Taxing
Tip Number Three To Know If You Need MAT® – if the activities you enjoy doing are becoming more taxing on your body, it is time for you to get a tune up. Whether you like to golf, play with your grandkids, or go for jogs, if you are having to take more time to recover from these activities or you are feeling more beat up after, this is a sign your muscular system needs a tune up.
