This month on Trainer Tip Tuesday we will be discussing considerations when you are doing the squats. Squats are an extremely popular exercise, especially when trying to strengthen, tone, and build butt muscles and leg muscles. However, there are a number of things you need to keep in mind to make sure this exercise is done safely and effectively for your body.
Squats are one of the most common exercises you will find. Whether they are being done with body weight, with a barbell or dumbbells, are part of a group fitness program, or done at home or at the gym, almost every workout routine incorporates some version of squats. But even though many people are doing them, most are not considering some key variables that will help to keep their muscles and joints safe.
One thing that is not often considered is how far down you should be going with your squats. While it is often thought that “more is better”, the truth is that this is not the case at all. So how far should you go down? There is a simple way to figure out the answer based on YOUR body.
Check out all of the details in this week’s episode of Trainer Tip Tuesday, and be sure to tune back in next week as we discuss more considerations when doing squats.
