This month on Trainer Tip Tuesday we will be discussing considerations when you are doing pulldowns. Pulldowns can be one of the most effective ways to build the size and strength of your lats and posterior deltoids, but how you do them matters. This week we will be discussing what considerations you should take when choosing a seat height for pulldowns to make this exercise as effective as possible.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind when choosing a seat height. First, can you comfortably get in and out of the seat as well as remain seated there? Second, can you easily reach the handles without stressing your shoulders or trunk?
There are some things you can do to manipulate the machine to make sure you can safely reach the handles, even if the seat is fixed in place. This can go a long way to making sure this exercise does not create issues in your shoulders or back.
Check out all of the details in this week’s episode of Trainer Tip Tuesday, and be sure to tune back in next week as we discuss more considerations when doing pulldowns.
