This month on Trainer Tip Tuesday we will be discussing considerations when you are doing pulldowns. Pulldowns can be one of the most effective ways to build the size and strength of your lats and posterior deltoids, but how you do them matters. This week we will be discussing what things to consider when choosing how much to angle your torso while doing this exercise.
Oftentimes, torso angle is not a strong consideration when doing pulldowns. People either try as hard as they to keep it perfectly vertical or they don’t think about it at all. But choosing the wrong angle for your torso can actually put tremendous stress on your shoulders, especially if you have shoulder issues.
There are some things you can do to easily determine what angle your torso should be at. These quick checks will help you get more from the exercise and make sure to minimize the potential risks associated with it.
Check out all of the details in this week’s episode of Trainer Tip Tuesday, and be sure to tune back in next week as we discuss more considerations when doing pulldowns.
